Forty-hundred.......is that anything like four-hundred-ten? Or four-thousand?
I haven't gotten around to posting anything about Spain yet (and I know you're all just dying to see the 40-hundred pictures Bob took), so y'all don't know that one night while we were out, my wallet disappeared from my purse.
We kind of think that it was lifted in a little tapas bar, but who knows?
The next morning I cancelled the credit card, but because of the time difference, had to wait until afternoon to get a phone number for my credit union to cancel my debit card. Neither was used, so other than the 5 Euros and 2 USD I had, it was just a matter of the annoying inconvenience of trying to remember WHAT was in there, and replacing it all. And, of course wondering about identity theft. (Yeah, like someone would WANT to be me?)
New credit card arrived in the mail on Tuesday, and I got a new card for the gym. The plan was to go to the BMV on Saturday and try to prove that I am who I say I am to get a new drivers license.
Imagine my surprise when today's mail brought my wallet (without the cash or zillions of receipts I keep in there) back to me.

I do hope that whoever took the money needed it, and am very thankful that someone turned it in.
My faith in humanity is somewhat restored.

I think it's disgraceful that the American Ambassador to Spain took your money before returning your wallet! You should take pictures of the open, empty wallet and send it to CBS. This Bush administration has got to be held accountable! [img]graemlins/grrr.gif[/img]
